This is the heated humidifier and this is the hot plate business, I know the lighting is not the best here, but this metal piece is the hot plate, so the hotter you make this the more moisture you get. You want more moisture crank up the heat raises the heat level, you want less moisture make this hot plate temperature go down.
The machine will automatically adjust the temperature
Now the machine will automatically do it for you, if you use the climate line tubing and choosing the option setting, there's another video that tells it shows you how to do it, where the machine will decide how much moisture to give you, it gives you the right amount of moisture.
But without you experiencing condensation, now there are some people they will say I know this machine is smart and it can do that, but it's still not meeting my humidity needs, that case you can clearly override it, I will show you in another video how to do that.
Eight settings to control the temperature
This hot plate now you have eight settings, from 1 to 8 to control the temperature on this, that's a lot and it's very beneficial for you, also the humidifier out, by the way, space I'm going to tell you this. You see this is your CPAP machine, you see the size of it, and then this goes in here, only this part, what is it about? An inch and a half two inches up to here, here is bulging up, it's small, the frame is really small.
Now the issue comes is for somebody who travels and who says what for when I travel for one-two days, I do not want to use a heated humidifier, they have to get a special faceplate that caps this off. If you don't this machine you're not going to get any CPAP air or pressure, all the air is going to come out of here, just shoots right out. I wish they gave it with the machine, but they don't, for many people what comes is a standard chamber or a tub, and it's easy to use and is easy to get to clean.
Easy to use and easy to get to clean
You want to use distilled water, just use soap and water is fine, but for the most part, you cannot put this in the dishwasher, so that is an unfortunate thing. You cannot put this in the dishwasher, there is another type of chamber, and you have to pay for it. It's called a dishwasher safe water chamber for air sense 10.
I don't know what it is cost, I think maybe around $30.00, but the price has changed fairly frequently and I think that's something worth getting into now. By the way, when you do wash this, when you dry it, do not put it in direct sunlight, but dry, make sure in the morning when you wake up just wash it real quick.
When I use my CPAP machine I tend to take showers in the morning, I take it in with me, since I'm getting drenched anywhere anyway, so I just bring my hose nice, especially my CPAP mask and this bad boy in with me, and just let it dry and just wash it up, and then let it dry, and by night time it's typically it is dry already.
